Vintage Mikimoto AAA Double Strand Akoya Pearl Necklace – Japanese Cultured Pearls
An exceptional vintage Mikimoto double strand Akoya pearl necklace, showcasing 174 genuine Japanese saltwater cultured pearls of outstanding AAA quality. Beautifully graduated from 4 mm to an impressive 8.1 mm centre pearl, this elegant necklace is a timeless example of Mikimoto's world-renowned craftsmanship and pearl matching.
The pearls display a luminous white body colour with delicate rose-pink overtones (orient), thick glossy nacre, smooth surface quality, and exceptional brilliance. Carefully selected and perfectly matched across both strands, they exhibit the superior lustre and quality for which Mikimoto is celebrated.
The necklace is completed with an authentic sterling silver Mikimoto clasp, set with an additional 3.6 mm Akoya pearl. The clasp bears the iconic Mikimoto "M" within the oyster shell cartouche together with the "S" silver mark, confirming its authenticity. There are only very light surface marks to the silver clasp, consistent with careful vintage wear.
Recently professionally restrung on continuous silk using the traditional Japanese knotting method, the necklace is presented in immaculate condition and is ready to wear.

Is my item insured?
We unfortunately cannot be held responsible for items which go missing in the post (rest assured, this is an exceptionally rare situation), we always obtain a receipt to prove that we have fulfilled our duties and have shipped the item via whichever method you selected. If you selected International Tracked delivery then we can file an insurance claim to seek reimbursement for the missing parcel up to the value of £250 (please be aware that any successful insurance claims will be forwarded to the customer upon our receipt of them and not before); however if you selected standard airmail then no compensation can be claimed.

Delivery and PO Boxes
We send all our items Royal Mail Tracked and signed or International Tracked and Signed for. We cannot deliver to PO boxes as we require a signature on delivery for the buyers protection and ours. Expedited shipping can be arranged at extra cost. UK Orders will be delivered within 1-2 working days where possible.
DHL Express Worldwide is a door-to-door time definite service. An equivalent service may be used at our discretion.
Items will arrive where possible the next working day after dispatch.
