Edwardian Silver Vesta Pendant Locket, Floral Engraved, Hallmarked 1906. A beautiful piece of Edwardian history, this former vesta case has been lovingly repurposed as a keepsake locket pendant. Crafted in Birmingham in 1906 and hallmarked for sterling silver, it is richly engraved with scrolling floral and leaf motifs, framing a blank scalloped cartouche ready to hold its own quiet story.
Suspended from a 24-inch silver rope chain, the locket has a striking presence yet retains an air of delicacy, its weight and workmanship speaking of true quality. Perfect for holding your forget-me-not treasures, this timeless jewel carries the romance and symbolism of flowers — eternal. In amazing condition for a piece of its era having been polished.
With full English hallmarks for Birmingham, Lion Passant and makers stamp ‘ W.L.’ and dates 1906 - 1907. The size of the case is L 45.5 mm x W 36.5 mm x D 11.7 mm and has a weight of 28.5 grams. This vesta locket also comes with a lovely 24” silver rope style chain stamped 925 that brings the combined weight of case and chain to a generous 33.6 grams. Antique box not included this very fine vesta locket will come in a new eco-friendly box ready for gifting.

Is my item insured?
We unfortunately cannot be held responsible for items which go missing in the post (rest assured, this is an exceptionally rare situation), we always obtain a receipt to prove that we have fulfilled our duties and have shipped the item via whichever method you selected. If you selected International Tracked delivery then we can file an insurance claim to seek reimbursement for the missing parcel up to the value of £250 (please be aware that any successful insurance claims will be forwarded to the customer upon our receipt of them and not before); however if you selected standard airmail then no compensation can be claimed.
