K & E Carlson Swedish Silver Rock Crystal Ring. A stunning vintage ring set with a square facet cut rock crystal stone, tension edge set to a contemporary and simple style mount. The ring has the makers' stamp ‘K & E C’ along with three crowns of the Swedish coat of arms in a trefoil shape with a striated background (cat's paw) stamp, and a date letter for 1973. The design from Bengt Hallberg being almost identical to this one albeit with different stamps inside to identify them. When viewed 10x there are some minute nibbles to the corner/facets, the table of the stone is clean and perfect. A very slight rattle suggests looseness however the setting has been checked and the stone secure. Some signs of previous normal use commensurate with a piece of its era, nothing major, cleaned and lightly polished.
The ring at the stone head front setting has dimensions of 11.9 mm long by 9.3 mm wide, weight of 4.1 grams. The ring is a size M UK or a size 6 US. Antique box is not included, this delightful and original vintage silver rock crystal ring will come in a new ring box.
The name of this natural stone comes from the Greek "krystallos", meaning "ice". In ancient Greece, it was thought to be eternal ice that had ice that had been solidified to its maximum by the gods, to such an extent that it would never melt. The name refers to stones' colour and purity. It is also known as colorless hyaline quartz. An apt choice from its maker for use in this Swedish ring, hailing from snowy winter climes. This rock crystal ring is beautiful, with a clean and pure stone.

Is my item insured?
We unfortunately cannot be held responsible for items which go missing in the post (rest assured, this is an exceptionally rare situation), we always obtain a receipt to prove that we have fulfilled our duties and have shipped the item via whichever method you selected. If you selected International Tracked delivery then we can file an insurance claim to seek reimbursement for the missing parcel up to the value of £250 (please be aware that any successful insurance claims will be forwarded to the customer upon our receipt of them and not before); however if you selected standard airmail then no compensation can be claimed.
