18ct white gold natural ruby halo ring surrounded by 12 round cut diamonds, 3.8 grams size M UK, 6 US, circa 1980s - 1990s. A stunning ring set with a vibrant mid pink ruby and bright round diamonds, all natural stones. The ring setting is in very good condition and is very well crafted from 18ct white gold, stamped K18 to the inside of the shank. The stones have been tested and assessed as natural and are outlined in much greater detail below. The ring has knife edge style shoulders and the ring head measures 9.4 mm in diameter, the flat profile rear shank is 2.2 mm wide and the ring has a solid weight of 3.8 grams.
Antique box is not included, this fine ruby and diamond ring will come in a new box.

Ruby
In natural daylight conditions
The ruby has a medium pink tone - high saturation, the colour is well balanced being neither too dark nor too light, having a vibrant and intense pink - red hues. Having symmetrically well cut facets that reflect light evenly, thus maximising the stones light reflection. Mohs 9, sub-adamantine lustre is bright, shows some surface inclusions across the table facet, some additional abrasions to some of the kite facets, some tiny nibbles to part of the girdle edge all when highly scrutinised under 10 x magnification. Upon further observation - assessed as a natural ruby with rutile silk inclusions and various needle inclusions composed of other minerals, small crystals, together with zones of colour variation, not detrimental to the overall colour quality. The ruby is 4.2 mm in diameter and has an estimated carat weight of 0.18ct.
Diamonds totalling 12 x round cut being singly facet cut (not brilliant cut) that are mostly eye clean, colour H - I. There is one minute chip to the girdle edge of one diamond when viewed 10x. Each diamond being 0.015cts having a combined carat weight of 0.18ct. Stones are all claw set so therefore the carat weights remain estimated.

Is my item insured?
We unfortunately cannot be held responsible for items which go missing in the post (rest assured, this is an exceptionally rare situation), we always obtain a receipt to prove that we have fulfilled our duties and have shipped the item via whichever method you selected. If you selected International Tracked delivery then we can file an insurance claim to seek reimbursement for the missing parcel up to the value of £250 (please be aware that any successful insurance claims will be forwarded to the customer upon our receipt of them and not before); however if you selected standard airmail then no compensation can be claimed.
